After conquering Japan’s music charts, some of Korea’s biggest idol groups are now looking to make their mark on Japan’s variety programs.

First it was revealed Girls’ Generation’s nine members will make their first Japanese variety program appearance on March 31 on Fuji TV’s Mecha-Mecha Iketaru!.

Generally each episode of Mecha-Mecha Iketaru! features a special guest as they play games and act out comedy sketches with the MCs.

A production staff from Mecha-Mecha Iketaru! revealed it worked with Girls’ Generation’s schedule and came in mid March to film the episode.

Girls’ Generation revealed it plans to appear on other Japanese variety programs in the future. Though Girls’ Generation has appeared in the past on Japanese music programs and talk shows, this will mark the group′s first appearance on a Japanese variety program.

Elsewhere, After School’s Nana has been cast as a permanent panelist for TV-Tokyo’s Tokyo Brandnew Girls where she and the other panelists will share fashion and beauty tips and information. The first episode will premiere on April 1.

  

And of course, 2PM and 2AM will also be seen regularly on Japanese television so we’re looking forward to these K-Pop groups entertain their Japanese fans!
